Detailed Itinerary Day

  • Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport at 10:00AM, you will be met by a Pumba gorilla safari sDriver-Guide who will welcome you to Uganda – the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, you will head to Queen Elizabeth for 417km in about 7 hours’ drive southwest of Kampala.
  • The road trip starts from Entebbe to the west and has the first stopover at the Equator for the amazing photos and demonstrations about the geographical separation of the north and the southern hemisphere.
  • From there continue with your road trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park and be welcomed by the beautiful Rwenzori ranges.
  • Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, there will be an evening game drive in the park which highly relaxing, and views of several wild animals including Leopards, the Hogs, Lions, Buffaloes, Duikers, Hyenas, gigantic Elephants, and antelope species.
  • Transfer to the lodge for checkin relaxation, dinner, and overnight. Distance Travelled: 5-7hrs Main Destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

  • After you have enjoyed your breakfast, you will be taken for a morning game drive in time to see the sun rise.
  • The morning is the best time for a game drive as the African animal kingdom tends to be most active when during the golden hours of the first sunlight touching the savannah.
  • You will continue the search for all the wildlife; elephant, buffalo, lion, waterbuck, leopard, Ugandakobs, warthog and do not forget about the birds and the primates.
  • After lunch, you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel.
  • Here, you will see a lot of hippos (more than you can possibly imagine), as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe.
  • You can expect to see: Buffalo, Crocodile, bathing Elephant, and a range of beautiful birdsand some monitor lizards.
  • This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your tour.
  • Main Destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park.

  • On this day have an early breakfast, Enjoy the Morning Game Drive and drive to Bwindi impenetrable Forest via Ishasha sectorin the southern part of Queen Elizabeth to see tree- climbing lions that are prevalent in this area.
  • Continue to where you will have lunch along the way.
  • Have a community walk (the Batwa -Pygmy cultural experience and entertainment) in the evening.
  • Enjoy dinner and rest at the lodge.

Main Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Accommodation: Gorilla mist camp. Meals & Drinks.

  • On this day, you will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience of mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
  • After a briefing by the park rangers, you will set off into the forest in small groups to track and observe one of the habituated gorilla families.
  • The trek can vary in duration and difficulty depending on the gorilla group’s location, but once you find them, you will spend an unforgettableone hour in their presence, observing their behavior and capturing memories through photographs.
  • This is a truly magical and humbling experience, as you witness these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. You will come back to the lodge to have lunch and freshen up.
  • This is the place to see the critically endangered mountain gorillas up close for your very own ‘Gorillas in the Mist’ moment.
  • After lunch, you will then be transferred to Mgahinga National Park for Golden Monkey Tracking the next day.
  • You will reach to relax, dinner and overnight. Distance Travelled: 2-4hrs Main Destination: Mgahinga National Park.
  • Accommodation: Ichumbi resort Kisoro.
  • On that day you will leave your lodge after an early breakfast and your driver guide will transfer you to the briefing point where the golden monkey trekking starts.
  • A ranger guide will receive you and offer you a briefing with information on what to expect while in the park as you search for the golden monkeys.
  • After this short brief, you will then start your hike up in search of the golden monkeys, which are only in the Virunga Volcanoes.
  • You are encouraged to take with you a porter because the hike can be steep in some areas and they will be helpful. You will be joined by enforcement officers to help in case you meet the wild buffaloes and Elephants which can be dangerous.
  • The golden monkeys are generally more active than the gorillas and you will follow them as they move all over the place and feed.
  • Just like gorilla trekking, you are only allowed to spend 1-hour with the golden monkeys before you start your descent back to the starting point and your lodge.
  • Main Destination: Mgahinga National Park,Accommodation: Ichumbi resort Bunyonyi.
  • You will have breakfast and later return to Kampala/Entebbe.
  • You will go cross the equator and experience being the Northern and Southern Hemisphere the same time an also have time to take photos.
  • Buy a few souvenirs in the craft shops and have a quick picnic lunch.
  • Later you depart for Kampala/Entebbe in the late afternoon or Evening.
